2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trim Levels Explained

You don't get to be the most awarded SUV ever by resting on your laurels. That's why the sales and service experts at North York Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram weren't surprised to see all the work Chrysler did on the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This extensively upgraded SUV brings a lot of new features to the table including:

  • Standard Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection
  • Standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through the latest version of Uconnect's 8.4-inch touchscreen radio and navigation system with bonded glass, which features higher resolution and pinch-and-zoom capability
  • New trims like the Grand Cherokee Limited X which features a unique front and rear fascia, performance hood, Granite Crystal exterior accents and new 20-inch Low Gloss Granite Crystal wheels.
  • Three new exterior paint colors - Slate Blue, Green Metallic, and Sting Gray

As a leading Jeep dealer in Thornhill, we thought it would a great time to run through all seven 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee models to give drivers a quick look at what each has to offer.

Laredo - This base trim doesn't skimp on the features. You get the 3.6-litre Pentastar VVT V6 engine with ESS technology that puts out up to 295 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. in torque. Other standard features include 17-inch Tech Silber aluminum wheels, Quadra-Trac I 4x4 system, ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera, 7-inch in-cluster display, and Uconnect 4 with 7-inch touchscreen.

Limited - When you step up to the limited you'll enjoy 18-inch polished aluminum wheels with Technical Grey pockets, leather-faced seating, heated front seats, and Quadra-Trac II 4x4 with Select-Terrain. There is also an available 5.7-litre HEMI VVT V8 engine with MDS technology that kicks out a max horsepower of 360 and 390 lb.-ft. of torque.

Trailhawk - This unique trim level really takes it up a notch when it comes to comfort and tech thanks to the Quadra-Lift air suspension, Alpine premium audio system with nine speakers, leather-faced seats with perforated suede inserts, and the Uconnect 4C NAV system with 8.4-inch touchscreen.

Overland - If you want even more power, the Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland brings it with a 5.7-litre HEMI VVT that offers 360 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. Other benefits include 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with Tech Grey pockets, Bi-Xenon HID headlamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof.

Summit - As we get near the top of the trims, we arrive at the Summit which comes standard with a massive Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio system, Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, and Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist.

SRT - If power and performance is your goal in an SUV, the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is right for you. Its standard 6.4-litre V8 MDS engine produces 475 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. Some of the other upgrades include Brembo high-performance brakes, Quadra-Trac SRT active on-demand 4x4 system, and a Selec-Track Traction Control System.

Trackhawk - At the very top of the trim levels is the unmatched Trackhawk. It comes right out of the box with the most powerful SUV engine on the market. The 6.2-litre Supercharged V8 engine blasts out an astounding 707 horsepower and 645 lb.-ft. of torque. You also get 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with Titanium pockets, competition suspension, and Trackhawk Performance Pages.
